Thieves of Mind
24hr jam (theme 'mind control', team of 2), programmed a thief sim game where players possess townsfolk to steal valuables & upgrade supernatural abilities.
Thieves of Mind
Developed in a team of 2 in a 24 hour game jam with the theme 'Mind Control', this game was a fun and experiemental project for me, where I got to try out new ideas and features that I had never attempted before.
The game has you play as an alien marauder with mind control abilities - taking control of the minds of residents in the strange place you find yourself in. The game allows players to steal the belongings of residents, selling them to earn money to upgrade their supernatural abilities.
In the team of 2, I was responsible for the programming and UI design/implementation, while the map design was done by the other team member. The game features a few varied locations to steal from, including two house variations, a shop, and even a tool shed.
I had a blast making this game in such a short time frame, and it was a great opportunity to practice rapid prototyping and teamwork. Check out the gallery to see some screenshots of the game.
